We
are proud to be one of the country's few optometry offices to have
the Heidelberg Retinal Tomograph II (HRTII).
This amazing instrument digitally images the retina and optic nerve
using a scanning laser. It's powerful computer then analyzes the precise
image to aid in early detection and treatment of eye disease such
as glaucoma.

Our Atlas Corneal Topographer provides a detailed map of the contour
of the cornea, the eye's outer surface. By analyzing thousands of
individual points, the instrument's computer determines the exact
shape of the eye to assist in contact lens fitting, laser vision correction
and diagnosis of corneal diseases such as
keratoconus.

The
DGH Pachymeter measures the thickness of the cornea by using painless
ultrasound waves. Corneal thickness measurements are important for
detection of glaucoma and keratoconus.
They are also necessary for laser vision treatment.

Eye
Designs is the only Sacramento area office to use the Epic
and TRS refracting system. By computerizing our methods of determining
your eye's power, we ensure that you receive the most accurate prescription.

Our
offices provide Laser Vision Correction (LASIK) consultation and pre
and post operative care. Our affiliated laser center uses the most
current laser technology including the new wavefront custom cornea
treatment.

Our
optical laboratory, located in the Arden Fair office, offers glasses
in about an hour. Our lab features the paradigm lens, a thin lightweight
lens, that is available in single vision, bifocal and progressive
designs. These lenses are made on-site and most powers are available.
